Car had a leak in radiator/radiator hose. Michael contacted me and said that car would need a compression test for engine damage - R750. I said OK. He said engine needed repair and quoted R42000 ! That is way more than the car is worth. I said thanks but no thanks. Tried to start my car and found he hadn't put the spark plugs back in. Messaged him asking how to do this. Kept on replying that the engine needs to be repaired. No apology, no help. So R750 gave me a car in a worse stae than it was before. I dont know if this is a scam or he just genuinely doesn't give a damn.

I called du toit's mobile motors to troubleshoot why my car jerked when it pulled away at robots. The owner advised I needed a full engine overhaul. I trusted his judgement and I paid half upfront and committed to the balance when the vehicle was repaired. The work quoted was R38 000.00 When he returned the car the problem as described to him was still present. I told him as much and he said that it must be the gearbox, but I must still pay for the engine as I agreed to the overhaul We are now in court as I refused to pay for the engine repairs. I feel he misdiagnosed the problem so he should refund me or fix the problem as described to him.

Mike came out to my place. He went straight to work when he arrived and spoke me through every aspect as he checked my engine. He was very thorough, explained problems and advised me so well. I’m so happy with my vehicle being in du Toit’s care. Thanks for restoring my faith in this industry
