Audio-Visual Equipment

Audio Visual Equipment is often necessary for big events conferences or meetings. It’s exciting organising these kind of events, however it can be a lot of work. Event planning is an entire profession after all. Nevertheless, Snupit can help you to get the AV equipment sorted for your event. All you need to do is use Snupit to find a reputable AV company. However, if you’re not sure of what AV equipment you’ll need, you might want to consult the list below.

1.    A computer or tablet

The AV equipment is usually necessary for speeches and presentations. In addition to this most of the time it is operated by being connected to a computer or some kind of technological device. Most clients prefer to use their own devices in these situations. However, AV companies can supply them too.

2.    A monitor or screen projector

You might be using a laptop or a tablet, however a monitor can still be useful. The monitor will allow other people to be able to see what is on the screen. This is great for presentations to smaller crowds. However, if the event is bigger you might want to organise a screen projector. This often allows for the screen to be projected large enough for dozens of people to see. In addition to this, you can project the same thing on multiple screens.

3.    A microphone

At bigger events, there is pretty much always a need for a microphone. If you know that there are going to be announcements, speeches or presentations, then make sure that you organise a microphone. It makes it so much easier to catch the attention of your guests when the people who are using the microphone are audible. Any reputable company should have dozens of microphones on deck.

4.    Speakers

Obviously, speakers are required to amplify your audio. Your microphone will probably be connected to these speakers. In addition to this, the DJ, or a device with a playlist, will probably be connected to these speakers in order for their music to be heard.  This is especially important for bigger events. In fact, speakers are also useful at smaller events as they improve the quality of the audio even if it is still at a lower level.

5.    Lights

If you are hosting an event for entertainment purposes it is often nice to have some lights set up. They add to the ambience of the event and make it more exciting. Furthermore, there are some AV companies that set up lights which operate in sync with the audio. This means that the lighting will be able to suit the mood of the event at any given time.
