Heavy Duty Electricians

Even the most expert electricians cannot perform electrical work without the right tools and equipment. When you call in a professional for an electrical project, you can expect them to bring the necessary tools. Obviously, they won’t rely on you, the customer, to have the right tools on hand. Heavy duty electricians, in particular, need some tools that people don’t usually have around the house. Therefore, they carry a few tools so you don’t have to:

Hand Tools

Heavy duty electricians need a number of hand tools for everyday tasks. Let’s look at a few of the hand tools they always carry:

Pliers

Electricians generally use two types of pliers, including long-nose and side-cutting pliers. Some pliers are designed for heavy duty tasks, while some are intended for intricate work. The great thing is that pliers today are more ergonomic than before.

Screwdrivers

Electricians carry a variety of screwdrivers of different sizes and designs. Often, heavy duty electricians carry multiple bits for the screwdrivers, so they can handle a wider variety of tasks.

Wire Strippers

Efficient wire strippers can virtually prove to be lifesavers for electricians, particularly because they reduce the risk of an electric shock when an electrician handles wires. Modern wire strippers come with curved handles, which makes them easier and more comfortable to use.

Measuring Tools

Even though there is no shortage of digital or laser measuring tools on the market, you will never see any heavy duty electrician without a basic measuring tape. Some electricians use these for taking small measurements. Though they carry laser measuring tools, they only bring them out for technical tasks.

Labeling Devices

Labeling tools are an important part of an electrician’s arsenal. Heavy duty electricians use these for marking and labeling, especially when taking measurements. This enables them to work with more precision.

Power Tools

Modern power tools for electricians are more ergonomic than ever. They are smaller and lighter but don’t lack in terms of power. Plus, they are more comfortable to use as well. Heavy duty electricians typically carry these power tools:

Drills

Heavy duty electricians typically carry a drill machine with a variety of bits. They often adjust the power output to suit the project they are working on. Some modern models don’t have a wire or cord, which adds to portability and versatility. For instance, electricians use different drill bits to drill through wood and stone. In most cases, electricians have to make holes in concrete, for which they use a power drill.

Saws

As with power drills, electricians require different types of power saws. Electricians decide on the saw they want to use depending on the material they have to cut through. The options available to them include the conventional power saw, spiral saw, and reciprocating saw.

So these are some of the tools that heavy duty electricians carry to ensure they are prepared for all types of jobs. You don’t have to worry about such equipment or any other factor, as the best professionals will have the right equipment.
