Concrete Fencing

The boundary of your home should be set up perfectly to maximize privacy and security. A major part of setting up a boundary is installing concrete fencing and gravel boards. You have to install them perfectly to enhance the level of security you enjoy. The reasons why homeowners invest in concrete fencing include:

•    Replacing fencing panels is easy
•    Concrete is more durable than timber
•    Compatibility with timber posts

But, how do you install concrete fencing perfectly? Here is a simple guide you can follow:
Installing Concrete Fencing

•    You have to install the fence posts by digging a hole in the ground and inserting the post. You have to extend the depth of the hole to 600mm for ensuring the fence remains in place. This is adequate for fencing up to 6 feet high.
•    You can use postfix or combine cement & ballast. The quantity of this mixture depends on the depth of the hole you want to dig.
•    If you are using slotted posts, you won’t have to install any specific fixings for the fence panels. Concrete fencing involves installing fence panels along with slotted fence posts.

Keep in mind that you can use concrete posts when installing mesh fencing and chainlink fencing. In addition to concrete fencing, you also have to install gravel boards to secure your premises.

Installing Gravel Boards

•    When it comes to concrete fencing, you simply have to install the panels into the slotted posts. You don’t have to put in any extra effort to install the gravel boards in this situation. You have to bed the panel fences into the concrete to ensure stability.
•    Gravel boards you use for concrete fencing in combination with morticed posts are connected with cleats. You have to slot the cleats into the fence post, on which you will find a couple of holes near the base. Next, you have to bolt the gravel board into the cleat, for which you will have to find the right bolts. In some cases, the post will have more holes.
•    Last, but not the least, you need to be careful when handling gravel boards. There is always the risk of the boards cracking because these are longer. When you install them into the ground, you have to set up a stump to support them.
You have to follow these steps to ensure you can install gravel boards perfectly. However, you have to make adjustments depending on the size of the boards and the posts. Also, you have to be mindful of the length of the hole you are digging.

Setting up a perimeter around your premises can ward off intruders and enhance security and privacy. Installing concrete fencing and gravel boards can make the process easier, enabling you to get the results you want. Perfect installation will allow you to get the best value for your money. However, if you feel that installing concrete fencing and gravel boards requires too much time and effort, you can hire professional installers.
