Certificate of Compliance is required by law when transferring ownership of a property.
In order to issue a Certificate of Compliance an Electrical, Gas, Beetle and Plumbing Certificate of Compliance will be issued by a registered Electrician, Plumber, Beetle inspector or a Gas installer only when he / she is satisfied the inspected installation comply with all relevant Occupational Safety Standards.
Included in The Code of Practice is all fixed wiring of a building or dwelling and consumer installations external to such dwelling or building.
Excluded in The Code of Practice is all electrical equipment beyond point of supply. Only its selection and application in the installation is concerned.
