NMC South Africa has for the past 16 years imported, marketed and sold polystyrene and polyurethane decorative moulding's in South Africa, under a license agreement with the Belgian based company, NMC - the world leader in decorative moulding's. There is no local manufacture of NMC products and all products are fully imported.
NMC has a National Footprint, with branches in Johannesburg (Head Office), Durban and Cape Town. These branches all land and carry their own stock.
NMC’s customers include a wide range of buyers from the construction industry, including, but not limited to, builders, ceiling specialists, architects, and interior designers (for both new and renovated buildings and homes). Customers also include the general public.
The biggest selling range by far, is Nomastyl. This is made up of over 30 sizes and styles of high density extruded polystyrene cornice, and the associated adhesive products. Competitors in SA wire-cut product from low density blocks or produce pieces in a mould using steam, this process is known as ‘expanded’. Expanded can produce patterns but is of a low density. Density impacts cutting clean edges, contraction and expansion of the product once installed and the ‘sand ability' of joints prior to painting
