Thaba Khaya Lodge offers guests a serene getaway among granite hills, just over an hour from Johannesburg and 40 minutes from Pretoria. The lodge is located within the Sable Ranch wildlife sanctuary, which is a conservation-focused South African heritage programme. It is also a private game reserve and proclaimed Natural Heritage site.

Because of the lodge’s topography, the temperature is generally three degrees warmer than the Highveld of Johannesburg, and it is also a Malaria-free zone. Guests will enjoy a full board with all meals prepared by the highly-trained chef, along with game drives or walks with a trained game guide.

The lodge is surrounded by game fencing and a controlled entrance. Guests can explore the four hectare lodge grounds at their leisure. The bar and pool deck are elevated by a large outcrop of granite, which offers guests views of the natural surroundings and the watering hole.
