The foot is an architectural work consisting of 170 ligaments, 19 intrinsic muscles and 26 bones. All these structures must work synchronously. The average person takes approximately 8000 to 10000 steps per day; and, in a lifetime, walks 115000 miles, which is an equivalent of four times around the world!
