We founded WeSit because we wanted to create a trustworthy and simple platform for babysitting. Childhood is the most important stage of human life; we saw the need for children to be in a monitored caring and loving environment in the absence of their parents during this important phase of their development.
Great childcare requires expertise and abiding attention. Over the years of babysitting experience, we saw that parents often relied on family and friends for babysitting. While family and friends initially seem like the perfect babysitters to most parents - the cons eventually far outweigh the pros.
While family and friends are likely to say yes, for free at an early convenience to a babysitting request - their lack of first aid training, differences in parenting styles and feelings of being taken advantage of, start to grow apparent over time, usually at the cost of the child being cared for.
This is why we founded WeSit: to give parents access to professionally vetted babysitters at their convenience. We’ve grown a team of over 80 enthusiastic babysitters that are ready to deliver out-of-this-world service!
