How long can I rent a generator for?

Each company will have their own regulations for how long you can hire a generator in Cape Town. The generator hire period is usually one full day or longer. Most companies will be open to long-term rentals, especially if you are willing to pay the price. If anything, it’s much easier for them to hire a generator out to one loyal customer.

Do I need to organise insurance while hiring the generator?

The generators will usually be insured by the company whom you are renting from in Cape Town. However, it might be up to the client to cover insurance while they have the generator in their possession. This means that if the generator is unfortunately lost, stolen or damaged in the client’s possession, they will have to cover the costs.
