Funtasia Educare Centre is a dual medium daycare facility that aims to render a one-stop service to parents of infants 6 weeks to toddlers up to 6 years.
Funtasia is a certified child care facility that started with two mothers wanting a safe, homely daycare facility where their children will receive love together with physical, mental, emotional and personal development. Funtasia Educare Centre has love and safety for our children as our main aim.
At Funtasia Educare centre we create a warm relationship with our children. Some daycare facilities mimic a school environment with strict rules and routines. We believe that infants and toddlers of such a young age cannot be submitted to such harsh routines. Funtasia do believe that routine creates safety, but we do not believe in submitting a child to routine at the cost of the infant and toddlers overall development. We feed on demand and allow the infant to sleep when he/she is tired.
At Funtasia Educare Centre we respect the parents’ wishes with regards to the upbringing of their children. The homeliness of our day care facility comes in where mothers really feel that they drop their child at a grandmother’s house. Our facility not only looks like a house, but we give that something extra. We do not just change nappies, develop our children, feed, etc, we also play with our children, hold them when they feel sick, allow our children to fall asleep in our arms, heat bottles if needed, spoon feed if needed ext.
By asking the Funtasia parents to write down the routine of the infants at home, we aim to be an extention of our parents. We try to keep the routine at the daycare as close to the one at home, especially the routine of our younger infants. We usually start introducing school routine to children older than 12 months. Thus you as a mother are still in control of your child’s development. At funtasia we make an effort to get to know every child. This is made possible by our small classes.
