The Community Music school is held at the Chatsworth Education Centre on 24 Saturdays. The school is hosted by Civically Aware community members in collaboration with the Umlazi District Department of Education, whose combined vision is to promote quality and affordable music education to the diverse communities in and around Chatsworth.
We teach voluntarily almost 100 students per year in various instruments and music theory (48 lesson-2 lesson per Saturday)and we are in our 11th year of community service. CCMS is a non profitable initiative that offer the AB Royal School Syllabus and Trinity College.
Each lesson has a theory and a practical component in the following:
BEGINNING AND INTERMEDIATE ACOUSTIC /ELECTRIC GUITAR
BEGINNING AND INTERMEDIATE BASS GUITAR
BEGINNING AND INTERMEDIATE PIANO/KEYBOARD
BEGINNING AND INTERMEDIATE DRUMS
VOICE TRAINING FOR BEGINNER SINGERS
PERCUSSION FOR BEGINNERS-DJEMBES/BONGO DRUMS ETC
Total fee for 48 lesson :R920 for Juniors and R1200 for seniors .Payable on registration which starts on 4th February 2019 at CEC between 8.30am and 3 pm Monday to Friday.
