About
I am enthusiastic about working with the mind, behaviour, overall health and destigmatizing mental health. I believe that counselling is deliberate, challenging, while paradoxically, safe and liberating. Counselling serves a curious mind.
My main priority is to foster intentional existence, guide authentic choice and instil the courage to live on purpose.
?
Background
?
I completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at The South African College of Applied Psychology in Johannesburg.
During practical training, I accumulated experience in the role of a volunteer counsellor at a variety of NGOs, such as the South African Depression & Anxiety Group, Children's homes, and tertiary education institutions.
In these spaces, I facilitated individual & group counselling, psychoeducational workshops, EAP services, wellness days and community projects.
?
Currently, I run a private practice, situated in Umhlanga, KZN. This is where most individual counselling occurs, in a warm, welcoming environment focused on cultivating a caring connection.
My counselling approach is integrative, as I borrow a variety of techniques specifically suited for the client and their needs.
Alongside a practice, I also host workshops and wellness events, create mental health toolkits, and work with EAP service providers as a clinical affiliate.
