KNM was founded in 2001 by the late Mickey Pillay, who brought more than 30 years of experience to the brokerage. KNM is now owner-managed by Nicole Pillay a second-generation financial specialist. She has vast experience in the financial services sector with specialisation in medical schemes since 2001. She holds a Higher Certificate in Financial Planning and a National Wealth Management Certificate from the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa. She has also completed Bachelor of Commerce Degree majoring Management with the University of South Africa and Honours in Marketing with MANCOSA.

Nicole has completed the Financial Services Board Regulatory Exams for Key Individuals and Representatives. She has done the Basic and Advanced Broker Training hosted by the Council for Medical Schemes. KNM and Nicole are both licensed and accredited by the Financial Services Board and the Council of Medical Schemes. KNM is a level 1 contributor to Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment and Nicole is a member of The Association of Women in Insurance.
