We are a private legal practice, operating as a partnership between Mahomed Essack and Ruwaida Hansa. Being a boutique firm we offer a practice that is nimble, agile and flexible. Ruwaida and Mahomed were admitted as attorneys on the 20th of December 1994 and have been practicing for the past 23 years. Over the years we have established long lasting relationships with our clients. We pride ourselves on our personal service to the extent that we regularly call on our clients with documents for signature when it is not possible for them to attend our offices. We firmly believe that we are because of our clients. We have an established and growing referral network due to our efficient and personalized service.
Our services include but are not limited to conveyancing and property transactions, litigation, specializing in family law and civil and commercial law, local and international adoptions, civil, commercial, family and divorce mediation, arbitration of disputes, administration of deceased estates, marriage contracts, drafting of wills and applications to the High Court for change in marital regimes.
At present we have a staff compliment of 9 members, made up of 5 attorneys (all commissioners of oaths), 2 candidate attorneys and 2 support staff. Our services are offered through the English and isiZulu (translation purposes only) medium.

We offer safe, secure, guarded and under-cover parking facilities. We cater for the aged and disabled with lift facilities directly to our offices.
With the latest technology and a wealth of knowledge at our disposal we are well placed to ensure that all our clients receive the service they deserve. We offer drafting of purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, special powers of attorney, and registration of transfers in the Deeds Office which includes Sectional Title Units, Conventional Title Units, Deceased Estates as well as Endorsements in divorce transfers, registration of inter alia conventional bonds, sectional title bonds, switch and covering bonds. We are happy to assist and advise estate agents and clients on transfer and bond procedures, costs involved and interpretation of contracts.
