I provide occupational therapy to children of all ages, from infants to adolescents. I practice from the therapy rooms at Bellavista School, in Birdhaven, Monday to Fridays in the afternoons and Saturdays in the morning.
In the occupational therapy intervention that I provide, I aim to support and encourage your child’s growth and development – empowering each child to reach their full potential. My occupational therapy sessions are child centered and create a space where children of all abilities are able to learn through play.
I use a Sensory Integration frame of reference in all aspects of the therapy process and provide treatment for all ages with a broad range of developmental challenges including: congenital developmental delays, sensory processing issues, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, ADD/ADHD, social skill challenges, visual perceptual difficulties & fine and gross motor skill delays. (I have completed two of the four sensory integration training modules)
I have a special interest in working with children on the Autistic Spectrum, and have spent time working at an autism specific early intervention centre. I am trained and am experienced in using Makaton, Social Stories and incorporating ABA principles and the TEACCH philosophy in my therapy.
