Stay away from Shadrack: Shadrack will tell you that your roof needs over thatch when it does not. He will then cost you hundreds of thousands of rands to overthatch. The work will not be done according to SANS and will have problems. He will issue you with a guarantee of 10 years with no exclusions but you will never be able to enforce that guarantee when the problems start showing up. There will be technical issues to your thatch which he will blame on your lack of maintenance. He will try to force you to do maintenance and combing when it is not required to get more money out of you. PLEASE save yourself the absolute worste service imaginable and use a member of the SA Thatchers association to manage your thatch.
