Agterplaas B&B is a bit of countryside in the heart of Johannesburg. We are a hundred meters from the “7de laan” (Greenwich Village style) boutiques, book stores, pubs and restaurants which never fail to enchant international and local guests. We are centrally situated - close to UJ, Wits, Helen Joseph and Milpark hospitals, Mediapark and the SABC, with a bus route at our back door. Airport, Gautrain and other transfers are arranged on request. There is also the Melville E-Tuk Tuk for low-cost short trips – even to the Rosebank Gautrain-station and Cresta Mall. Agterplaas B&B is characterized by old-world tranquility and affordable comfort. Our 14 rooms are all en suite with free Wi-Fi internet access, a bouquet of DSTV–channels, complimentary cold drinks, as well as coffee/tea facilities. Our rooms are equipped with heaters and fans. Free lock-up parking is available on the premises. We work closely with associations for the disabled and one of our units and a kitchen facility are geared specifically to accommodate guests in wheelchairs. Agterplaas has firm partnerships in the hospitality and tourism trade in Johannesburg including a conference facility directly opposite our premises and a top Soweto-guide. Tariffs for groups and longer stays are negotiable, depending on availability. Agterplaas B&B is fully BEE compliant. We serve a full variety of vegetarian and warm breakfasts to our sleepover guests. Regulars from our community, including people from the media and arts, also support our famous breakfast table from as early as 06h00 – 7 days a week. Our home-made bread and the warm coal stove in winter attract guests from far and wide. Delicious homemade dinners are also served by appointment in our farmhouse kitchen or on our patio overlooking the ‘Melville Koppies’.
