Signa Signs has established itself in Gauteng as a leader in the signage industry.
We are housed at 54 Maple St, Pomona, Kempton Park where the majority of our
orders are manufactured and assembled. We offer our clients a service where we
believe each job must be special and treat it as a custom project. In the execution
of a order we are involved in the quoting, designing, planning, procuring of material,
manufacturing, delivering, erecting and commissioning of your “SIGN”
Signa Signs was established in 1968 as a retail signage shop with a number plate
embossing facility on site. All other signage requests were subcontracted. The
present sole shareholder purchased the company and business in 1984. It was
manager run. We expierenced the need to start our own manufacturing of signs to
be competitive. This had us obtain financing from the Small Business Development
Corporation which had us moving to a rented factory we then equipped. Demand saw
Signa Offset Print being established. A workforce of 21 were kept very busy. In the
downturn of the economy we were effected. Unprofitable departments were disposed
of, others scaled down. The now CEO James Hunter took total control in late 1986 to
have effected the turn around. During 1987 he undertook the development of
“19 Jubilee Street” which was our home from 1990. The next 26 years we served our
clients from the premises in the CBD of Kempton Park. Due to a highjacking in 1994
the control of the building was lost in 2000 and demise of the CBD we were forced to
relocate to Pomona beginning November 2016.
Signa Signs is the preferred warehouse naming & operational signage specialist for
several entities for their PPE , HEALTH & SAFETY and PRODUCT requirements. We
supply to all, amonst all our clients are DSV Logistics, Ekurhuleni Metro Municipality,
Safran Turbomeca, Anglo America etc. A 30 month project was the Ebotse Estate
where we signed all the signage in “stainless steel”.
Quantity or size is never a factor to us - I recall a 22000 safety sign order from Spoornet.
Or logos on either end of a fasility 6m x2m erected 18m high on a 50000sqm warehouse
utilizing 3D illuminated letters with digital printed laminated logos on.
With Signa Signs our clients come first. All orders / tenders awarded to Signa Signs will
then be subjected to our Standard Conditions & Terms with is available on request and
such Conditions shall be deemed be embodied in any such contract arising out of this
communication.
