Protec Crane Hire was established by Bruce Kennith Ferreira in 1994 when there was a need for a mobile in his company Protec Boiler services.

This mobile was required to position various boilers that the company refurbished. The company soon realized the demand for mobiles in the Eastern Cape and decided to open a Crane division to run along side with the Boiler division. The company thus became Nexor 519 t/a Protec Boiler Services and Crane Hire. Protec Crane Hire had initially, over the years, gained vast experience in various sectors throughout the Eastern Cape as well as parts of the Western Cape. This experince, combined with a honest and hard working ethos, has seen the company sustantially grow its fleet of cranes, low-beds, and crane trucks as well as open a branch in Germiston - Johannesburg from which we service the Northern Cape, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and Free State.
