MBT Petroleum (Pty) Ltd was founded in 2005 by Johan Fouché, the Chief Executive Officer, who identified an opportunity within the Petroleum sector for an aggressive, service driven and motivated organisation which offers superior customer service, competitive pricing and excellent communication, ultimately putting the needs of the customer first.
MBT Petroleum is a specialist group operating within the South African Petroleum and lubrication sectors. The South African Petroleum industry is historically dominated by the refining wholesalers such as Shell, Engen, BP, Chevron, Total and Petro SA. In South Africa, there is a secondary tier of Petroleum suppliers as well. These suppliers are referred to as ‘non-refining wholesalers’, and MBT Petroleum is amongst the leaders in this tier. MBT Petroleum is also BEE compliant as per the Oil Industry Fuel Charter.
MBT Petroleum has been instrumental in changing the industry over the last eight years by establishing itself as a leading ‘non-refining wholesaler in the industry. MBT Petroleum is currently focusing on expanding and branding of existing, and new retail service stations. The brand is affordable and attainable for entrepreneurs and existing operators.
