My daughter has a smile on her face every morning to the thought of going to school. She had been to 3 different public schools before attending Randburg Montessori, all of which she experienced bullying. Her confidence has increased, her self esteem is higher, her language and understanding is much better, she doesn't suck her thumb as much, her general demeanor has changed for the better, she loves to share, she loves to help, she loves doing her work, she loves the outdoors. I cannot thank Kym and her team enough, we appreciate all the assistance and special attention you've given Tamia, she really is such a happier child since she started attending Randburg Montessori <3

Having been to view many Montessori schools in the area, Randburg Montessori is 100% on a totally different level of authenticity. If you are after an authentic Montessori education for your kids - one where they will grow in independence and confidence, then go and have a look at this school today for your kids.

In the seventeen years that I have had the pleasure of being associated with Randburg Montessori, one thing continues to stand out, the quality and high standard of education has been consistent. The montessori principle is practiced to the letter. The various class groupings are fully equipped. The development of the wholeness of the child is of prime importance. Through personal experience I have seen the result of the foundation given to children making a difference even to matric level. Thank you Kym.

Being part of the Randburg Montessori family has enriched my children and my families life. My children look forward to each new school day, they don't like to say off school for any reason, even when they are truly ill. The school helped my daughter blossom into a beautiful young lady, who has the skills to be self-motivated and the confidence to be an individual. The lengths the owner Kym and her staff go to, to make every child feel special and cared are incredible. I am continually in awe of the staff's relaxed manner in which they teach and care for the children. They are a true example of authentic Montessori Education.

My children both started attending Randburg Montessori at 18 months. They are now 5 years old and 3 1/2 years old respectively and in the pre-primary class. I have found the school to be a warm and loving environment, paying close attention to the different personalities of the children in the school and treating everyone with respect. My children love their friends and their teachers. I couldn’t recommend this community highly enough.

Randburg Montessori’s goal is to give its children an education that will prepare them to succeed both in primary school and in life, in a rapidly changing world. Like all Montessori schools, Randburg Montessori emphasizes hands-on discovery-based learning. Although the programme promises to strive for an exceptional standard of excellence, children are encouraged to develop themselves holistically. It is with this in mind that Randburg Montessori strives to employ the best teachers to suit the specific needs of the children.

Here, we share a commitment to a close partnership between home and school, and our innovative educational programme leads children to develop extraordinary levels of personal responsibility, independence, and self-confidence.

As we are committed to seeing Montessori flourish in South Africa, we are dedicated supporters of SAMA. All our staff are members of SAMA and receive ongoing professional development through this organisation.
Looking back to our beginnings, in January 2002, 5 children with eager and supportive parents became the first class of Randburg Montessori. During that first year enrolments steadily grew until our first class, now with 12 children, had outgrown the venue. In the December of 2002 we moved to The Ferndale Recreation Centre which had room to expand and we have been here ever since.

In 2004 Randburg Montessori accepted enrolments for our first toddler group for children aged 18 months – 3 years. In 2008 we opened a second pre school environment for children aged 3 – 6 years. In 2015 we started our first group of elementary aged children which is a small home-school type group. In 2019, Randburg Montessori introduced a Baby / Nido (Italian for ‘nest’) class.

Although all the children that have been in our care are loved and remembered by us, we are most grateful for those first 4 families who took a chance and enrolled their precious children in our first class.
