First and last time I will use their service. I was quoted over the phone, for the absolute worst case scenario. Quote seemed reasonable, (approx 15k) and little more or less, would have been okay. Also not made aware of any other charges that would be incurred should I bring vehicle in for a definitive quote. Once I took vehicle in, the quote for repairs was almost double the initial worst case estimate (28k ex vat). Surely being gearbox specialists, they would know ALL the possible worst case things that could be wrong, and could have quoted better initially. When I rejected quote I was charged 1670 just for a diagnostic test which took all of 5 minutes to run, which I had to pay, else I couldn't get the vehicle back. Most other centres charge 450 for this test. This after having incurred towing costs to take the vehicle to them. Businesses like this give other honest tradesman a bad rep. For a first time potential customer, I wouldn't be going back, or referring anyone to them.
