I am a Chartered Accountant (SA) completing my training apprenticeship at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 1998 (Tax / Auditing / Finance / Man Acc. / Fin Acc. & Fin Reporting).
I worked in Investment Banking in London from 2000 – 2014 obtaining wide experience across: Finance, Product Control, Treasury, Credit Risk and Regulatory with a deep knowledge and understanding of the many complicated Financial Products. I obtained invaluable product and operational experience across the markets.
I have been a successful entrepreneur launching my own businesses in the: Telecoms, Health and Logistics industries with a very hands on approach in bringing these to fruition. Key skills have been addressing every aspect of these start-ups including: business plans, venture capital / fund raising, business set up and infrastructure build, staff management, finance and reporting, human resource management, contract and commercial agreement negotiation, business operations (ensuring scalability to accommodate franchising) and marketing.
Returning to South Africa in 2014, I joined Maitland Group Ltd (SA) as a consultant to programme manage the successful start-up of the Retirement and Life Product business for which Maitland provided back office services to global powerhouse Coronation and PPSi.
Whilst at Maitland, I qualified with a post graduate diploma in Financial Planning through Stellenbosch Business School.
