African Sun Media was founded in 2003 with a print and production plant in Stellenbosch, as a scholarly press and print plant. In 2012 Create was added to the company’s profile to service the growing demand for graphic design and digital marketing.

In 2019 African Sun Media underwent a change in structure with the investment by a designated group company. Changes were made to upper management and our BBBEE rating has elevated to a Level 2 Contributor. Furthermore, African Sun Media established the African Sun Foundation, a vehicle with which the company engages local disadvantaged communities in its philanthropic efforts, making social responsibility a key area focus.
