HVM started business in November 2007 mainly focusing on training and consultancy. Since February 2008 HVM has started to expand its services also to audits, reviews, accounting services, tax administration, which include the normal tax compliance, and corporate compliance services offered by a normal accountancy firm. Since 2007 HVM has grown into a well balance, unique audit and accounting firm with two directors and nine staff members.
We are however uniquely positioned to offer clients the latest benefits on the Companies Act 2008, which was implemented in 2011. We offer training services in English and Afrikaans on topics like tax, accounting, audit, reviews and ethics. HVM is uniquely positioned to make the new corporate scenario a rewarding challenge for its clients.
The name HVM was derived from the H of Herman, the V of Vermeulen and M from a Dutch firm Maes Incorporated with whom we have close links. We have established a Dutch desk in the Western Cape with the approval of the Dutch consulate. This Dutch desk serves may Dutch residents having presence in South Africa. We assist these individuals with cross boarder wills, tax planning and payroll administration. HVM is also part of a global association called GMN International.
