WHAT IS A HAIRDRESSER?
Spare us a moment of your time.
At hair infinity, a hairdresser is a complexity dedicated to beautifying hair. She blends it, bleaches it, tints it, tones it, teases it, washes it and combs it. She then cuts, conditions or curls, which naturally makes a woman beautiful.
Our hairdressers are a Pixy-Joan of arc with sore feet, a Florence Nightingale with cuts between her fingers, or tint stains on her fingernails. She is a businesswoman, a professional, a mother and a wife.
At one time or another, her hair has been Red, brown, Bleached, Hi-Lited or Blond and maybe all these colors at once.
She can always “ Squeeze in” just one more client, but is constantly an hour behind in her diary booking.
Her “Lunch Hour” is about 8 minutes, usually spent discussing new products with her rep.
For lunch she generally has coffee and a sandwich.
She works 6 days a week and sometimes attends workshops on a Sunday learning new techniques.
To her clients she is a Psychiatrist, Psycho-Analyst, Gynecologist, and Advisor to the lovelorn, Tax Consultant, Marriage Councilor, Fashion Coordinator but always “just a plain friend”
Sometimes marriage, sickness or the family take her away from this noble of professions, but just wait until those scars have healed, or those children grow up and she is back in the salon doing the thing she loves best.
To our hairdresser, hairdressing is not just a job, it’s pure Emotion.
Although she is paid for her services, her greatest reward comes when her client turns in the cutting chair, caresses her new hairstyle and says
I LOVE IT.
