Kays Interiors Zeekoewater 311-JS, Witbank  

Kays Interiors started in 1968 when the original owner saw a need with the many immigrants arriving on the shores of “WITBANK” to either join Eskom or Highveld Steel. All the houses were new and Witbank was also very new – and as they needed carpeting and household furniture, Kay’s Interiors was the one stop shop in Witbank.

At that time Colin Martinson joined Kay’s Interiors. He later took over the business with Richie Dunn as his partner and they decided to concentrate mainly on office furniture and carpeting. Kay’s moved premises a couple of times as their needs increased. In 1987 Des Conway joined Kay’s Interiors as the Flooring Manager.

Des Conway took over the business in 2002 and once again Kay’s Interiors moved to bigger premises in Jellicoe Street. Des’s two boys joined the company in 2007 and 2009 respectively. Mark runs the office manufacturing section and Eric runs the carpeting section with Des still at the helm.
