Catto Young & Lester Inc. provides accounting, auditing, company secretarial, taxation and wealth administration services to individuals, trusts and to small and medium sized enterprises operating throughout KwaZulu-Natal on an individual and personal basis.
Catto Young & Lester Inc. has its foundations in the practice started by the Late Bob Catto in May 1949, which operated out of two small offices in central Durban. In the years to come he was joined by the Late Bruce Young (1951) and the Late Mick Lester (1965) and on 29 April 1965, the name of Catto Young & Lester was registered.
The practice incorporated with effect from 1 March 2000 and Catto Young & Lester Inc. continue to operate from their own premises in Jesmond Grove (off Ridge Road) on the Berea. With effect from 01 March 2006, Jimmy Melville was joined by Diason Naidoo as a director/partner. Paul Mayer continues with the company as a consultant.
Whilst the advent of computers may have changed the way in which clients needs are serviced, Catto Young & Lester Inc. continues to service the needs of each client on an individual basis. Testimony to this lies in the fact that Catto Young & Lester Inc. provides services to clients in the third generation.
Technology plays a major part in the ability to service the needs of its clients and Catto Young & Lester Inc. has invested in up to date computer systems and the latest audit and accounting software to enable it to provide the highest levels of service which are required by its clients.
