TABLE DECOR COURSE: 23July 2016 (9am - 1pm) This exciting and creative course will demonstrate trendy decorations for guest tables to fit into various budgets. Students will learn table etiquette and how to tastefully and appropriately decorate a table. At least eight different styles of table décor for popular themes will be demonstrated and will advise students on locations from which to source décor items.
WEDDING DRAPING COURSE:16 July 2016 (9am - 4pm) Wedding draping is our most popular course for newcomers to the events industry, as it is a very practical course. We teach students how to drape a backdrop over frames (which can also be used if one cannot drape on the walls of a venue). Draping of a main table, chair draping and cake table draping. We also teach students what fabrics to use, calculations & costing.
MARQUEE DRAPING: 30 July 2016 (9am – 4pm) A marquee can be the most magical setting for a wedding reception but their linings can often look a bit plain. Draping can be a great addition to any marquee. Learn about the art of marquee draping. You can create looks ranging from the classic elegance of ivory to a coloured theme to create a unique individual event. The marquee draping course does not require prior knowledge of the industry, only a passion for creating styles and decorating.
EVENT MANAGEMENT IN DURBAN: All 4 modules have to be attended in order to receive the certificate in Events Management.
Module 1&2:09-July-2016 8.30am-4pm
Module 3&4:10-July-2016 8.30am-4pm
The course consists of 4 modules. The course teaches how to manage events by learning how to start your own events management business, cost effective ways to market your business, overview of suppliers & how to deal with them, planning principles, themed events. Comprehensive notes are provided to students in all courses and a certificate on completion of the course. The courses are 30% Theory and 70% Practical. We provide refreshments & all equipment required to do the course. We offer after course assistance.
