Wedding Planner

No bride has ever been willing to settle for mediocre in wedding planning. No bride has ever wanted second best in wedding planning. Unfortunately, the unforeseen sometimes happens, but fortunately, most of the unforeseen pitfalls that can splatter a white wedding can be avoided by simply knowing what to look out for.

1.    No Guesses on the Guest list

As tempting as it may be, do not choose a wedding venue until you have agreed with the groom about exactly who will be on the guest list. Numbers are absolutely golden here. Knowing how many people you will be needing to host will play a key role in ensuring that there is adequate space in your chosen venue. A general guideline is between 7 and 9 meters of space to each guest invited.

2.    Work With The Weather

Check on the forecasts for the season in which you have planned to get married in. If you choose to get married during a season that does not usually experience much in the way of rain, do not place your faith in the past. Check that the forecast for that season is what you expect it to be. It is always highly advisable to have an under covered area to retreat to, should there be a surprise deluge in your outdoor wedding.

3.    Waging Wars

Some brides may be extremely pushy about what they want, and forget to consider their guests. Inviting guests from across the country, but expecting them to leave very small children behind is not necessarily practical and may come off slightly as bridezilla (yes, this a mild example of bridezilla behaviour).
Waging wars can take place within yourself if you start planning your wedding just to please everyone else. Ensure that you embrace the old traditions that appeal to you, and try a few new tricks of your own. As much as your sister may want to wear a blue bridesmaid dress if your wedding is teal, you have every right to be gentle but firm on that point. Find the middle ground between planning a wedding your guests will enjoy and planning the beautiful day you have always dreamed about.

4.    Feeling Frazzled

If planning a wedding feels like a nightmare to you, you are too stressed! Sometimes perfection lies in the simplicity of the day, good company, great laughs and seeing the one you love waiting for you at the altar. Keep sight of what is important. If the table linens are less than perfect, your guests will enjoy the day just as much as they would with perfect table linens. A wedding should be planned around happiness and excitement, and if you find you battle with this, arrange a day with your bridal party and express what is troubling you. They are there to have tasks delegated to them to help you make this a memorable time in your life. Hiring a wedding planner to assist in some of the preparations and arrangements can be happy middle ground between doing it yourself and having it taken care of for you. Most wedding planners are happy to provide obligation free quotes and assessments.

Planning a wedding can be easy and fun if you know where to find the professionals you need to provide you with the items to make your day unforgettable.
