Security Lights

Lighting is a magnificent way to combine security with beauty within your property. Lights in themselves are a very effective security measure, and you’d do well to implement them into your garden & home. Here are some innovative ways to make this security feature work with your other security features. And best of all, they’re all about making your home look great!

1.    Sensor lights for external wall features

Your wall is a barrier between your home and criminals. This barrier can be breached; even if you have an extremely high wall, wall spikes or electric fencing. Lights, however, can be used to shine onto your wall area. Not only will this highlight & embellish your beautiful wall, but it will also deter criminals—who hate working in exposed light.

2.    Garden lights

You can also add lights to your garden. Criminals will hate the idea of having to cross your garden if it’s well lit. They much prefer working in the dark, so put them off with some bright lights. These lights will also showcase your garden at night, while creating an ambience that’ll be the envy of your neighbours.

3.    Connecting lights to your alarm

If you haven’t installed some type of alarm in your home, it’s time to do so now! Search for a security expert online and bolster the security of your property. It’s also worth asking your security installer to connect your alarm to lights. If there is a security breach, the lights will do a lot to expose the criminals, who will be scrambling to hide when your alarm is wailing.

4.    Entrance lights

Entrances are a common breach points for criminals who can’t find a weak point along your wall or fence. By installing security lights at your main gate, your front door and your other entrance doors, it will deter criminals. Protect your access points and expose anyone who tries to take advantage of them.

Lights and security work hand in hand. Contact a security expert to get decent protection for your property. Then, call a lighting specialist and ask about some of their beautiful light options for your walls, garden and doorways. Remember that most criminals prefer to enter your property undetected. So, if anyone does try their luck, make sure you or your neighbours can see them.
