  • How many sessions does a person need with a psychologist?

    Every person has a different journey through therapy. It depends on why they are seeing a psychologist and what they are hoping to get out of the sessions. Sometimes seeing a psychologist becomes a permanent part of someone’s life or they only need a session or two.

  • What should I expect from my first session?

    Every psychologist in Brits has their own process and it usually depends on the kind of therapy that they offer.

Once that’s been completed, they’ll need to complete practical training and register with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.     Contrastingly, psychiatrists have completed a medical degree and further training related to the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.
