About Us

Alcaricare Bridging House is a privately owned home where we take care of the frail, sick and the elderly who cannot live alone anymore.

Alida Groenweld is a qualified staff nurse. She was trained at Sharley Cribb and has worked at Universatas hospital, cancer hospital in Bloem, Graaf Reniet hospital.

Alida started Alcari in Jan 2009. From early 2011 Sharon began to assist her with the patients and started working full time with Alida from October 2012.

We have taken care of patients with cancer, stroke, heart problems, PVS (permanent vegetative state), back problems, dementia/alzheimer, hip problems, peg tube, nasogastric feeding and the frail
