Foot Focus was founded in 1996 by the husband-and-wife team of Ebrahim and Razia Jeewa, who were retailers trading under the name Queen’s Shoes in Durban, South Africa.
Initially, operating from a modest 500m2 office and warehouse in central Durban, we progressed to sponsor a factory, and wholesaled its production.
In 1998 when South Africa was integrating with the international economy their eldest son AK Jeewa, joined the business and saw the huge business potential in importing high volume, entry level footwear sourced from China.
By 2001, the business expanded immensely and transformed into a medium size importer with a customer base that included reputable national chain groups.
