GoodPet Owner of GoodPet, Mari Borain, is a Qualified and Registered Companion Animal Behaviourist and Dog Trainer and Tellington Touch Practitioner Trainee (TTACT IV). Mari is an executive committee member of the South African Board of Companion Animal Professionals.
GoodPet's philosophy is one of gentle and intelligent training, working with the animal through positive reinforcement, and at all times ensuring the safety of the animal. We are not a mainstream dog school and our approach is non-aggressive and non-dominant.
Our aim is to develop relationships between animals and their humans, who are taught to interact with their pets at all levels, from education to recreation; and in order to maintain personal attention, we do not have large numbers of pooches in our classes. With us, you do not become the "Leader of the pack" but rather the Adult in the relationship and a trustworthy Guardian, developed by trust, compassion, and understanding.
All trainers and behaviourists who work under the GoodPet umbrella are duly qualified and holds to the high ethical- and training standards required, meaning you and your dog are not only in safe hands, but also have the best at your disposal!
