From humble beginnings to one of the largest independent glass companies in South Africa, McCoy’s Glass started operating from the back seat of Steve McCoy’s car over 15 years ago. Today, we’re the first in the glass industry to sell glass online, the first wholesaler to publish a glass industry newsletter and we created the “Glass Guide”, which is regarded as the handbook of the glass industry. McCoy’s are also the founders of the “Glass Expo”, which is part of Interbuild, the largest building exhibition in South Africa.
The core of McCoy’s business is the supply of building glass, including clear float glass, patterned glass, tinted glass, mirrors, laminated safety glass and toughened glass. We are leaders in the stock sheet market and are constantly setting new service levels in the cut-to-size market.
We currently operate in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria, Polokwane, as well as from a branch in Nelspruit, focused on providing the same devoted service to the Mpumalanga market as in Gauteng and Kwa-Zulu Natal. We do not, and will not, sell directly to the public as we feel that it is unnecessary to compete with our customers. In order to help our customers grow we prefer to track leads by using the McCoy’s Glass Solutions call centre.
