Established in 1974, SRK has over the years grown into a large consulting practice with a broad client base worldwide. Whilst the Group operated initially as specialist consultants in the geotechnical engineering field, the growth of the Group has led to diversification into the related engineering fields of mining, civil, electrical, environmental and mineral processing engineering, as well as into the scientific fields of hydrology, geohydrology and the environmental sciences.

The Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) office was established in 1994 and the East London office in 2001 and have provided a wide range of professional services since then, inclusive of groundwater supply, groundwater contamination investigations, engineering, environmental services and geotechnical studies.
