Oral health care is a two-fold process, involving at-home care for your teeth and gums, and in-office regular cleanings that can remove more plaque and pinpoint any future issues.
Though your oral health care routine may vary depending on your particular needs, brushing at least twice a day, and preferably after every meal, and flossing at least once a day can help you avoid most common dental issues such as cavities and gum disease. Avoid sugars, sweets and sticky foods if possible.
Typically, routine cleanings and checkups should be done once every six months, although you may require more frequent plaque cleaning if you’re prone to gum disease.
