The Institute of Emergency First Aiders was established in 1987 by a member of the emergency services who saw, on a daily basis, a real and growing need for public education in emergency first aid procedures. Since then IEFA has grown to offer, not only first aid training, but training in fire prevention and fire fighting procedures, use of breathing apparatus, hazardous materials awareness and training for health and safety representatives. Our training courses enable companies and other organization to comply with the legal requirements laid out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
