John came out after I said I wasn’t comfortable with evening work. One roof area was only accessible by removing tiles. He arrived late, did one section, raised the price from R850 to R1500, then accepted R1100.He returned late the next day to seal the roof, confirmed the issue was birds and said he’d done a thorough check. He agreed we’d EFT payment once we received an invoice, but only sent it after leaving. 6 hrs later, birds were back in the ceiling. When I called, he changed his story and said it was rats.He then arrived late that evening demanding full payment. I offered half, as he had attended, but explained the problem still needed another contractor, at extra cost. He became aggressive, and I had to call my security company. They heard both sides and eventually got him to accept the payment.John makes promises to secure the job, regardless of whether the work is actually completed. I now need to pay someone else to fix the problem.
I had a major pigeon problem — about 20 pigeons on my roof — and contacted John from Lindela Groups for help. He came out to view my property, found four nests (two with baby pigeons), and got to work immediately.He climbed onto the roof, removed all the nests and droppings, sprayed the area with pigeon repellent, and sealed the openings with mesh wire to prevent them from coming back. He also safely removed the baby pigeons and cleaned everything up afterwards.It’s now been four days since the treatment, and only two pigeons are left — likely the parents looking for their babies. I’m a very happy client! John was honest, friendly, and extremely professional. Highly recommended!
