Empowervate Trust's core programme is The Youth Citizens Action Programme (YCAP). This programme evolved on the back of the annual “The Big Talk” youth dialogue events in 2009 when the challenge was helping youth to translate their valuable solutions for their challenges into actions.

Six years later, we are empowering over 3600 youth in Grade 7 and Grade 10 annually. We work in collaboration with the Department of Basic Education. Our sponsors are Deutsche Bank South Africa Foundation and UTi SA. And our research partner is UNISA, flight partner, SA Airlink.
