While on our Christmas holiday in Mtunzini we had a photo shoot with Vanessa Vermeulen , and it was a tall order for her.....we had 5 grandchildren under the age of two and a half, a very hot and humid day and a beach fulle of Boxing day party people. And the photos were beautiful!!! She (and het husband) stayed calm and just clicked away and got stunning moments. I highly recommend her!!

We aspire to capture authentic moments. Moments that are something to behold aesthetically and speak of something deeper, the underlying emotions and unfolding story.

We are a husband & wife duo and work together as a team, both bringing to the forefront our own personal insights & attention to detail. Working together brings a great benefit allowing us to capture the story of your event in a complete way. Being dancers as well as artists, our photography is inspired to capture movement in a moment, seeking for more than meets the eye.

Our style of photography would be best described as art documentary as we are primarily interested in telling the story of the day while capturing it’s essence, continuously looking for those honest, beautiful moments that could otherwise simply escape in a breath.

We have been in photography since 2013. In 2017, once we got engaged we decided to form Vermeulen Photography. Our training & experience includes: *portraiture *candid photography *creative photography *documentary photography *flash photography *long exposure photography *macro photography *wedding photography *event photography *family photography *wildlife photography *travel photography with particular interests in the use of light & composition.

Describe a recent project that you have completed.

We work regularly on various types of photographic shoots in various locations & lighting situations. Our last three shoots, included a Christian wedding, Islamic wedding & a baby shower within a week of one another.

Who are some of your customers and can you provide traceable references?

Our work is to be featured in the Mad Love wedding inspirations magazine later this year and we have been sponsors of the Win a wedding competition for TWE (the wedding expo). Most of our clients are private individuals, some of which would be happy to provide a reference, and some past corporate clients include teach a man to fish, and virtual edge.
