We visited the optometrist at Jina's in Nelspruit on the 1st of February 2019 to try and find suitable glasses for our daughter. He suggested that we get to an eye specialist and have her eyes evaluated to find out what the real problem was with her eyes, and was to write a referral letter. My husband and I returned the next Monday; 4th February to Jina's to collect the referral letter and to inform the optometrist not proceed with any glasses. They agreed and acknowledged to make a note of it. I later discovered that the glasses were made without our consent, they invoiced me(of which I never received a copy of) and claimed payment from the medical aid, with an outstanding amount that was not covered by my medical aid of R650.00.
