SpanAfrica Steel Structures (Pty) Ltd has been designing, fabricating and installing steel structures for more than 20 years. We are an owner-managed business, with a hands-on management style.
Our in-house fabrication facilities, with trained and experienced staff, facilitate the accurate production of buildings, according to design specifications. Our factory and offices currently occupy 15 000 m2 of land with a factory and office complex of 4000m2. We are able to produce on average 500 tons of processed steel per month. Our flexibility means we can offer a full turnkey solution on the structural steel side of the project or work off clients preferred engineer drawings. We can also offer design & supply or a design, supply and erect. Our structures range anything from 300m² to 15,000m² under roof.
Each project is managed, from the conceptual stage through to completion, by a single project manager. This allows for clear communication with clients and ensures that client expectations are met. The project manager’s experience, together with support from technical and production teams, enables SpanAfrica to find innovative and cost effective solutions to clients’ requirements. The tried and tested underlying procedures by which our business is conducted, and a high regard for safety and quality control, collaborate to produce a product of the highest standard. We work with you either as full project management partners or with your professional team of architects and engineers.

We actively trade throughout South Africa, and export throughout Africa mainly in the SADC regions . Buildings are designed to suit the weather and climatic conditions of the destination country, and tailored to suit the specific requirements and instructions of our clients. Our export team are specialized in the logistics of exporting buildings.
Buildings exported from South Africa can be erected at site. Our crews have been dispatched as far as Burkino Faso and Madagascar. Alternatively, should clients have the resources to erect steel buildings, detailed plans are sent with the export to enable this to be carried out by the client.
