I recently booked with the main street plett office. I made a vacation rental booking for 4 nights at 3700 p/night. This was done over the phone/email. When I paid the balance the second morning we arrived it was high but I assumed it was the security deposit. When I realized that I'd been billed for 5 days although we stayed only 4 nights I went to talk to the agent. She was pleasant but then told me that I got the invoice weeks ago and agreed to pay 5 days for my 4 day booking. We looked through the email logs and found a blank email with no text and attached invoice. When I disputed the bill - her tone changed and told me how exclusive the property was, how lucky I was to get a booking at all, and how nasty the landlord was. My only recourse is to share my experience and to take this up with my credit card company. I recommend finding a better company to rent vacation rentals from.
