The BIT Group was formed in June 2009, a partnership between the South African, European and Latin-American individuals established in South Africa who recognized the need for high quality products in the ceiling and partitioning industry. Dominated by international giants, this industry was being offered products at astronomical prices, hence the BIT group was formed and invested heavily in the sourcing of international suppliers, forming relationships in South America, Asia and Europe with reliable and ethical manufacturers within the industry
Originally, catering to the bulk needs of certain customers and importing container loads sourced internationally at the best prices and at the same time adhering to the Quality Standards of the South African Bureau of Standards, BIT Drywall was established in the local market.
Achieving our main objective, we perceived that the smallest independent contractors were, also in need of having access to our products. A dedicated division was formed within the group, BIT Drywall, striving to become a one stop shop for the small to medium companies in need of quality products at the best price.
