This practice is in its 64th year of operation. During this time we have been responsible for ± 769 large and small projects for a wide range of clients in the public and private sector.
Our experience covers full architectural input into projects from town house developments, factories, laboratories, office buildings, schools, homes for the aged, retirement flats, numerous churches, monuments, restorations and houses.
It has been our policy over the years to remain a small, compact and efficient practice with low overhead costs and personal control by the principal. We believe that close personal contact between architect and client is essential to the successful completion of a project.
We are committed to personal and honest professional service, stressing the importance of the client’s architectural, practical and financial requirements.
In our design we strive for individuality, integrity, simplicity, functionalism and durability. At the same time we maintain a high standard of documentation, personal supervision and proper administration and control over all aspects of the contract.
The firm was founded by Mr J de Ridder (Johan) and is now run by his son, Mr J M de Ridder (Tienie). Tienie joined the practice in 1990. He will ensure that the firm’s established tradition of reliability, integrity and stability will be maintained while staying on the cutting edge of the latest developments in the field of architecture and best international architectural practice.
