The format of the gallery is evolving in line with fast changing needs of our client base, however the gallery’s purpose will always be to articulate and encourage Afrocentric creativity through the medium of visual artistry and related progressive collabos. Our selection of artists is guided by artistic excellence that tilts towards Afrocentric thematic productions that encompasses high production values. These values are reflected in our shared mission and vision.
The emphasis is therefore moving away from just selling to engaging and providing artistic dose of creativity to society through imaginative exhibitions and programmes. The gallery is advancing a new approach of bringing excellent audiences and growing the profile of the gallery in new market segments. We are ensuring that the new collectors and other customers are at the centre of what we do.
Our journey of creativity is now moving us towards a co-creation of products where we collaborate with clients, artists, or other producers to give birth to unique products. We believe in the absolute freedom of ideas as they birth innovative products and/ or spark other creative journeys. This initiative is fostering enriching experience for all involved as it culminates in unique experiences. Our shared vision is aligned towards supporting upcoming and emerging artists while meeting the artistic needs of our highly esteemed clients. By supporting these emerging artists, we believe we can build a future of empowered black artists who are able to participate meaningfully is the visual arts space as well as the South African economy. We are investing in increasing our footprint in the visual art space and will continue to explore opportunities where we can profile African art to a wider audience.
