Arqspace is a Johannesburg-based company of architects, designers and thinkers who value the transformative role of ideas and the capacity for architecture to inspire. Arqspace has a national representation through work done, but not limited to, Gauteng, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town.
We are a fully Empowered Practice with a BEE accreditation of Level 1 BBBEE , specialising in all fields of Architecture, Contract Administration and Space Planning.
The Directors have a collective experience of 40+ years within the architectural profession. Our experience ranges from various sectors such as: Commercial, Retail, Residential, Educational, Industrial, Hospitality, Corporate, Government, Medical, Community and Masterplanning.

The practice draws from a rich history and experience of working together on various types of projects, but we have a culture of a young start-up. We aim to produce intelligent, exciting and groundbreaking designs through a continual commitment to social, economic and environmental ideals. The office shuns preconceptions, fixed architectural styles or methods, allowing each project to become a unique opportunity to research, analyse and creatively respond to the brief, site and context.

Our philosophy is to strive on quality design, documentation and on time delivery. We provide our Clients with all the skill and experience required to transform quality design into finished product.
The practice offers the full range of architectural services as defined in the framework for the professional fees guideline document published by the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP). These include the Standard Service as Architect and Principal Agent for Work Stage 1 to 6, as well as all partial services listed by SACAP.
We also provide contract services to architectural companies who require assistance on projects. We can assist to complete a pending project or provide additional services when short staffed.
